Frances Lucille Overbey

Frances Lucille Overbey, 86, entered into rest on Thursday, August 23, 2012.

Mrs. Overbey was born on April 16, 1926 in South Hampton County, Virginia to the late Edward Judson Simms and Estelle Drewry Simms. She was a longtime member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Frances was a wonderful homemaker who truly enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, H.T. "Speedy" Overbey; her son, Frankie Overbey; and five siblings all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Michelle Chaney (Bill), Michael Overbey (Mary Lynn), stepson, Steve Overbey (Karen); sister, Marie Raiford; grandchildren, Meagan Overbey, Evan Chaney, Bailey Chaney; several step-grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
