Frances Marie Goodwin

Frances Marie Goodwin, 90, was reunited with her husband, the late Lawrence Brown Goodwin and son, Rickey Lee Goodwin, in Heaven on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

The daughter of the late James Brown (J.B.) Akin and Vellaree Coleman Akin, Frances was born in Bradford, Tennessee, on November 2, 1932. Frances was a doting wife, mother of three, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She faithfully served at her church home, The Assembly at Warner Robins for over 60 years. Frances loved the Lord with all of her heart and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. With a servant’s heart, she enjoyed sewing and would often sew for others.

In addition to her parents, husband, and son, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Mabel Gordon.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Carol Crotti (Bob) and Anita Robinson (Dan); daughter-in-law, Susan Goodwin; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Asbell officiating. Afterward, Frances Marie Goodwin will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
