Frances Mary Hutnick died September 7, 2002 at home at 61 English Court in Byron. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 13 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 8:00 pm, all in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins. The Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins. Father Charles Roland will officiate. Interment will be on Monday, September 16 at 10:00 am in Andersonville National Cemetery.
Mrs. Hutnick, wife of Deacon Kenneth P. Hutnick, (LTC, USAF, Ret.) was the daughter of William and Frances Doyle. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Cheltenham, PA. She had been a resident of middle Georgia since 1971.
A loving and dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker, Mrs. Hutnick was an active and committed Christian practicing her Catholic faith at St. Juliana Parish in Fort Valley and at St. Patrick Parish in Perry. She was a former parishioner of St. Peter Claver Parish in Macon, Sacred Heart Parish in Warner Robins, and Our Lady of the Skies Parish at Robins Air Force Base.
Mrs. Hutnick was active in every aspect of her parish. She served as a teacher in the CCD religious education program, was an active member and past President of the parish Council of Catholic Women (CCW), and served as sexton at St. Juliana Catholic Church. She was part of the original formation of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Savannah Diocese and served as Diocesan Coordinator. She helped bring Cursillo to the Savannah Diocese, serving often as a Rector and a team member.
Mrs. Hutnick served the general community as Assistant Girl Scout Leader, as Director of Group Tour and Travel for the Macon Convention and Visitors Bureau, and as a member and president of the Macon Heritage Foundation. She was also a volunteer and sitter for Hospice of Houston County.
Mrs. Hutnick is survived by her husband of 45 years, Deacon Ken Hutnick, LTC USAF Ret. and Assistant Professor at Fort Valley State University; daughters, Brietta Harkless, Byron/Warner Robins, GA; Kelly Ann Mallory, LaGrange, GA; and Megan Smith, Bonaire, GA; son, Kenneth P. Hutnick II, Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Joshua Moneypenny, Mary Katherine and Avery Claire Mallory, Jackson and Jamie Smith, and Katharine Hutnick; great-grandchildren, Christian, Tyler, and Matthew Moneypenny; sisters, Bernadine Reynolds, Horsham, PA; and Jean Olbrich, Norristown, PA; brothers, William Doyle, Feasterville, PA; Joseph Doyle, Williamsburg, VA; and Richard Doyle, Melbourne Beach, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Patrick/St. Juliana Building Fund, the Sacred Heart Building Fund, or the Nazareth Home in Macon.
