Francis Wilburn Brown, 89, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015.
Francis was born on August 24, 1925 in Mascotte, Florida. A proud Navy veteran, he served his country during World War II. Subsequent to his military career, he worked and traveled with CNH Transportation. While traveling, he served as a lay minister helping plant churches along the Northeast. Formerly of Largo, Florida, Francis was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Indian Rocks and most recently of Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins.
His beloved wife, Betty Jean Brown; and parents, William Wharf and Salana Frances Brown, preceded him in death.
Francis's memory will forever be treasured by his children, Tom Brown of Valrico, Florida, Charlene Looney of Auburndale, Florida, Neil Brown of Barnegat, New Jersey, Nate Brown of Tampa, Florida and Selena Whitley of Bonaire, Georgia; and several adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in First Baptist Church Indian Rocks Memorial Gardens, Largo, Florida.
