Frank Edward "Ed" Lee, Jr.

Frank Edward “Ed” Lee, Jr., age 72, passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior on the evening of Friday, October 28, 2022. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a devoted Christian man who fiercely loved his family.

Ed was born to the late Lois and Frank Edward Lee, Sr. on October 31, 1949 in Macon, GA. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired custom home builder.

Ed loved God, read his Bible daily and enjoyed worshiping and fellowshipping with friends at Central Baptist Church for many years. He was called to bring people to the Lord and he did this in teaching Sunday School and by volunteering as a mentor for the KAIROS Prison Ministry with the church. Ed was very witty man who was full of amusement; he most definitely found the humor in life. Furthermore, he was a great listener and gave good advice to anyone who needed it, especially to his sons. It was no secret that Ed loved his family deeply and that his grandkids were each his favorite person.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Maurine Lee. Sadly, Ed’s beloved wife of 22 years, Elaine Lee, passed away just hours after he did.

Ed, affectionately known as “Cool Guy” by his family, is survived by his loving sons, Trace Lee (Nicole) and Todd Lee (Joslyn), both of CO; grandchildren, Steven Ruzic, Jr., Austin Ruzic (Libby), Faith Lee, James Lee, Cooper Lee, Audra Lee, and Camden Lee; great-grandson, Sutton Ruzic; and sister, Juanita Lee Eaton (Tom) of Kathleen.

Visitation for Ed and his wife, Elaine, will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen Byrd officiating. Ed and Elaine will be laid to rest next to each other in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
