Frank Sagnibene, Sr., 89, passed onto eternal life on Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Mr. Sagnibene was born on August 25, 1924, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Joe (Sr.) and Mary Sagnibene. After graduating from Lanier High School in Macon in 1943, Mr. Sagnibene immediately joined the U.S. Army and was awarded four Bronze Stars for his service in the Pacific Theatre of WWII. Returning to Macon after the war, he entered law school and worked in his father's business, later becoming a successful businessman in furniture sales and home building. He married his wife, Rose Ramsey Sagnibene on September 13, 1951. Mr. Sagnibene was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He loved Jesus and all his many caregivers of the last year. His siblings, Sam Sagnibene, Josey Bateman and Joe (Jr.) Sagnibene, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Rose Sagnibene, Macon; sons, Frank Sagnibene, Jr. and Reverend Gary Sagnibene, both of Macon; grandchildren, Lesley (Chris) Pecone, Smyrna, Georgia; Meredith (Joel) Minnick, Macon; Nicholas Sagnibene, Jr., Macon; great-grandchildren, Alex, Catheryn and Charles; and nephew, Cliff Bateman, Byron.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014 Magnolia Park Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Warner Robins at noon. Reverend Robert L. Jarrett and Reverend Joe McDaniel will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Dementia Foundations or to Combat Veterans Organizations.
