Frank Brookins, 68, entered into rest on March 2, 2010.
Born on September 24, 1941 in Prichard, Alabama, Mr. Brookins was a retired driver and safety officer for Schwerman Trucking and as a real estate investor. He was an avid GA Golden Gloves Boxing fan and a Civil War enthusiast. His mother Marguerite Graham, and brothers D.C. and Adolph Brookins preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty years, Roslyn Rogers Brookins, Byron; daughter, Frankie Russell (Jimmy), Byron; son, F. Scott Brookins (Denise), Brooklet; grandchildren, Brian and Brandi Westbrooks, Brooke and Bobbie Brookins, and Sean and Evan Russell; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Duncan, Lola Bonanto, Nan Harvey, and Janet Hester; a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, the Reverend Chris Hildreth officiating. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Oasis Community Church Building Fund, 105 Industrial Way, Byron GA 31008.
