Franklin “Frank” Lee Baker, Sr., 84, entered into rest on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Frank was born on August 27, 1939, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late James Brown Baker and Mildred Quinn Baker. In his professional life, he served a long civil service career and eventually retired from Robins Air Force Base. Following that, he became the owner of Frank’s Golf Cart Center, which he enjoyed. In his free time enjoyed flying the open skies and the quiet of fishing in the great outdoors. His presence will be deeply missed by those he loved.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie Jean Jones Baker and sister, Elizabeth Kratz.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Barbara Brown Baker; son, Franklin “Lee” Baker, Jr. and his wife, Ginger; granddaughters, Emma Baker and Maddie Baker; great-grandson, Alan Baker; stepchildren, Tony Broach (Toni) and Debra Johnson; step-grandchildren, William Miller, John Miller, Steven Johnson, Ashley Whitehead (Chad), Ashlie Mariscal (Anthony), and Amy Wilkinson; step-great-grandchildren, Max, Banner, and Bishop Whitehead, and Asher and Liam Mariscal, along with extended family, Barbara Brown Baker.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Frank will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
