Fred Irvin Graham, a beloved member of the community, devoted family man, and distinguished public servant passed away at Houston Medical Center on Thursday, December 7, 2023. He was 77 years old.
Born on March 9, 1946, Fred was raised in Eastman, Georgia. He was the son of the late Fred and Gertrude Roland Graham. As a young man, Fred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, representing the values of honor and service.
In 1970, Fred transitioned to civilian life, joining Jim Walter Homes, where he began a new chapter in his professional career. Three years later, he took on a new calling as he joined the Houston County Sheriff's Office where he served with distinction until 1987. Attending law school, Fred eventually established his own law practice. His commitment to upholding the law extended to his role as the City of Warner Robins Municipal Judge, where he served faithfully for several years. Fred's impact on the community extended beyond the courtroom, as he dedicated 17 years of service on the Hospital Board.
In his spare time Fred enjoyed music. He particularly loved the oldies and listening to the classic tunes of the 1950s and 1960s. Above all, Fred cherished his family and took great pride in witnessing the accomplishments of his grandchildren, especially when they played sports.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 53 years, Delores Webb Graham of Warner Robins; children, Brian Graham (Laura) of Centerville, and Amy Dawson (G.L.) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Matthew, Alexis, Blake (Melissa), Chandler, Nick; great-grandchildren, Alivia and Charli; siblings, Robert Graham, Alice Bird, Mary Shumate, Benny Graham (Dianna), Susie Harrell (Ralph); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward Fred will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
