Freddie Marjorie Greenway, 95, entered into rest on Friday, February 2, 2024.
Freddie was born on January 11, 1929, in Franklin County, Georgia to the late Fred and Rubye Segars. In her professional life, she worked at a drug store with her aunt and later became a telephone operator for Southern Bell. She was the oldest of seven children, but the last remaining of them. Freddie was a faithful lifelong member of First United Methodist Church where she taught both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics and with Happy Hour, selflessly giving her time and care to developmentally disabled people. Her presence will be dearly missed by those she held most dear.
In addition to her parents, Freddie was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Greenway and her six siblings.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Jack Clark and his wife, Margaret and niece, Debbie Lynn and her husband, Mike.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Freddie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
