Freeman Stokes, 78, entered into rest on Friday, October 5, 2012.
Mr. Stokes was born on September 3, 1934 in Wrightsville, Georgia. Having studied real estate courses at the University of Georgia, he became a broker and was very successful in the real estate industry proving to be instrumental as a builder, developer and realtor. He was also a former manager of the Houston county fair. Assembly at Warner Robins was his church home. He is preceded in death by his father William David Stokes and mother Jessie Lucille Stokes.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife Betty Stokes; children, Sandy Hoyt (Ron), Byron, Steve Stokes (Lisa), Warner Robins and Kim Pace (Dean), Perry; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; siblings, W.F. Pete Stokes (Brenda) and Betty Wilkes, Wrightsville.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Assembly of Warner Robins, 6040 Watson Boulevard, Byron, Georgia with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Hayneville Assembly of God, P.O. Box 67, Clinchfield, Georgia 31013.
