Furney H. Mishoe, Sr., 78, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2007.
Mr. Mishoe was born on January 1, 1929 in Green Sea, South Carolina. He was a member of Gateway Fellowship Church of God. With loyalty and honor, Furney served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he was a Firefighter. He also retired from the Warner Robins Police Department where he was an Auxiliary Officer. A man of many accomplishments, he also held a CDL license and drove trucks part time before and after his retirement. His loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Mishoe, son, Saul Mishoe, parents, John Robertson Mishoe and Rosa Ellen (Tyler) Mishoe, one brother and one sister, all preceded him in death.
He will be missed by his children and their spouses, Furney H. and Vickie Mishoe, Jr., Lizella; Georgia and Jimmy Bowers, Lugoff, SC; Connie and Maurice Wilkins, Warner Robins; Raymond and Patty Mishoe, Maryville, TN; eight grandchildren, Beth Trotter, SSgt. Chris Widener, Sr., Melissa Youngkin, Sonny Mishoe, Naomi Widener, Tiffany Widener, Vanessa Stroud, Olivia Mishoe, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, at Gateway Fellowship Church of God with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
