Gabriel Humberto Giles

Gabriel Humberto Giles, 81, entered into rest on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Gabriel was born on March 6, 1942 in Guerrero, Mexico to the late Fernando Giles and Maria Martinez and was of the Catholic faith. He was a buyer by trade, but being a wonderful father, abuelo, and husband always came first. He was his wife’s true love and her everything. Gabriel loved to be outdoors working in his garden. He enjoyed planting new flowers and fruit trees. In addition, he was an excellent cook who enjoyed making his favorite food, apple salad. The holidays were an exciting time for Mr. Giles as he looked forward to decorating at Christmas time. This was a perfect opportunity to bring the family together and for Gabriel to talk with his family and friends. He was known for being very expressive.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Guadalupe Nieto; children, Esther Giles (Claudio Orellana), Olivia Giles, Gabriel Giles Sotelo, Patricia Giles (Alberto Gomez-Trigos), and Gerardo Bustos; grandchildren, Fernando Orellana (Kelsey), Sebastian Orellana, Nayely Giles, Maciel Giles, Ana Valeria Gomez-Giles, and Juan Pablo Gomez-Giles; great-grandchild, Milo Orellana; and former spouse, Catalina Sotelo.

A memorial gathering will be Friday, May 19, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Iglesia Cristiana Remanso de Paz, 1715 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093. A memorial service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m.at the church.
