Gary Alton Allmon

Gary Alton Allmon, 57, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.

Mr. Allmon was born on October 31, 1951, in Macon. A musician and of the Baptist Faith, he loved to hunt, fish and box. His brother, Gene Martin Allmon, and father, Lethel Alton Allmon, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Joyce Valeria Dimsdale Allmon; son, Gary Baker (Iantha); daughters, Valerie Smith, Beth Bolster and Katie Allmon; brother, Robert Edward Allmon; sister, Katy A. Willett; one grandson and three granddaughters; step-children, Joey Redfield, Jamie Mears, Timothy Redfield and Edward Redfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Mike Slade officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler. Memorial donations may be made to Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1038 Allmon Road, Butler Georgia 31006.
