Gary D. Kiper, 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.

Mr. Kiper was born on May 8, 1937 in Beaconsfield, Iowa. With pride and honor he served his country in the U. S. Air Force, retiring after twenty –three years of service with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. A B-52 tail gunner, he participated in the Vietnam Conflict. Subsequent to his military career, he enjoyed a career as an Electrical Engineer at General Dynamics and also worked a number of years for SSAI and Northrop. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilbert Kiper and Laura Wiley Kiper, two brothers and four sisters.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Vigdis Irene Kiper, Warner Robins; daughters, Heidi Johannessen, sons, Terje Johannessen, Tore Johannessen and Kjell Dennis Johannessen, all of Norway; daughters, Kelly Lamb, Kary Barnes, Kathy Dillon, Karla Paul and Kristie Vanover, all of Fort Worth, Texas.; sisters, Norma Roland, Warner Robins; Janice Hixson, Omaha, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Peggy Kiper, Omaha, Nebraska; twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
