Gary Joseph Boursheski, 67, of Byron, Georgia, formerly of Monett, died on May, 31, 2023, at his home following a long illness.
Gary was born on July 12, 1955 to Tony and Dorothy Borusheski, of Pierce City. They both preceded him in death.
He graduated from Pierce City High School in 1973. On Nov. 19, 1983 Gary married the love of his life, Barbara Reno and she survives. To this union, they had two boys, Ryan Anthony, who preceded Gary in death, in 2022, and Blake Michael, of Dublin, Georgia. Gary began his working career at Well’s Aluminum in Monett; Kawneer in Arkansas and then returned to Monett and was employed at EFCO Corporation for many years. Gary, Barbara, and both boys eventually moved to Dublin, Georgia where he was plant manager at YKKAP. He eventually retired because of health reasons. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, sports and NASCAR racing. Gary was a “master chef” and loved cooking for family and friends. One of his many joys was his garden. Barbara and Gary made good traveling buddies and enjoyed many road trips.
Besides his wife and son, Gary is survived by one brother, Robert (Bob) Borusheski (Jeanette) of Kansas City, MO and one sister, Beth Brennan, of Salt Lake City, Utah, who considered him a friend and beloved brother; three nieces and one nephew; one sister-in-law, Pam (Reno) Beard (Gerald), of Satellite Beach, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son; two sister-in-laws, Marge (Reno) Holman, Mary (Reno) Szydloski; and three brother-in-laws, Don, Gary and Tom Reno.
A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. A funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. in the church.
