Gary Robert Short

Gary Robert Short passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the age of 84. He was born to the late Roger and Ida Short on April 11, 1936, in San Jose, California. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later in the U.S. Air Force. Following his time in the military, he dedicated his life to being a musician and was fortunate enough to play at several large venues. Gary also loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, his home away from home.

Gary is survived by his children, Mike Short (Jodi) of Kathleen and Tracy Sherron of Nashville, Tennessee; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Steve Short of Chevy Chase, Maryland; and three nieces.
