Gary Mathews, 73, entered into rest on Thursday, March 27, 2008.

Mr. Mathews was born on March 1, 1935 in Roberta, Georgia. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He was self-employed. His parents, Joe T. Mathews, Sr. and Doris Mathews, daughter, Mary Ann Mathews, and brother, Joe T. Mathews, Jr. preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Mathews, Warner Robins; daughter, Christy Cochran (James C.), Byron; grandchildren, Katie Harrison (Justin), Macon, Michael Waldron, Warner Robins, Nicole Cochran, Atlanta, and Curtis Cochran, Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 208, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
