Gary Stephen Corday, 51, unexpectedly passed away on March 14, 2008. He was born on August 11, 1956 to Saul and Rose Corday. He attended public schools in Otero County, New Mexico. In the fall of 1970, the family moved to Warner Robins. Gary graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1974.
He attended Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama majoring in Rehabilitation Services, receiving undergraduate and master's degrees. He started his professional career working for The Happy Hour School in Warner Robins, Georgia as a disability counselor. For the next twenty-four years he worked for the State of Georgia as a Vocational Coordinator in Warm Springs, Georgia.
Gary was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he served in a number of capacities including president of the Youth Department. He was dedicated to his church and supported the new addition to Christ United Methodist Church, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia.
His family includes his parents, Saul and Rose Corday, Warner Robins; brother, Bernard Corday, Seattle, Washington; uncles and aunts, Tony, Albert, Delores, Kay; many cousins in New Mexico, California, Arizona, Colorado, and Florida.
Memorial services will be held at Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088
