Genaro Nieto, 78, entered into rest on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Genaro was born on September 19, 1944, in Mexico City, Mexico. He grew up and graduated from high school in Mexico City before enlisting in the Mexican Naval Infantry Corps. He later moved to Chicago, Illinois. There, he was a factory worker who specialized in plastic cutting, where he retired in 2021. Just 15 short days before his passing, he relocated to Warner Robins to live with his sister. He loved Mexican music, singing, playing pool, and spending fun times with his friends and family.
His parents, Jose and Sara Alvarez Nieto, along with his wife, Edith Nieto, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his siblings, Guadalupe Nieto of Centerville, Georgia, Nichola Nieto of Tijuana, Mexico, and Armando Nieto of Mexicali, Mexico; along with many other loving family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
