George Allen West

George West, 92, entered into rest on Friday, December 13, 2013.

Mr. West was born on November 11, 1921 in Guntown, Mississippi. With courage and commitment he served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. He retired from Robins Air Force Base as a production controller. His parents, George and Dovie West and siblings, Tyson West and Lilly Ropper, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Mabel B. West; children; George Allen West, Jr. (Mabel), Forsyth; Timothy Frank West (Karen), Warner Robins and Angela Maria Thomas (Mike), Juliette; grandchildren, George Allen West, III (Stacy); Lauren Elizabeth Sheffield (David); Timothy Frank West, Jr.; Laurel Alysha Henderson (Scott); Ashlyn Marie West; Michael Alex Thomas; Ian Matthew Thomas; Cameron Sheffield; Chandler Sheffield; Cason Sheffield; and Emily Michelle Harrington; and great-grandchildren, John Conner West and Abbygail Leeanne West.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with interment following. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church 336 Carl Vinson Parkway 31088.
