George Clifton Brown, Sr.

George Clifton Brown, Sr., 83, died Thursday, August 1 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held on Sunday, August 4 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown was born in Douglas, GA. He was retired from the United States Navy having served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was also retired from Sands Vending Company where he was employed for 17 years. He was a member of Periden Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserves and was a Mason. His parents, George Calvin Brown and Nora Lee Wiggins Brown, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Doretha Brown, Warner Robins; son, George Brown, Jr. and his wife Beth Brown, Norcross; daughter, Betty Karen Stewart, Warner Robins; granddaughter, Rebecca Higgenbotham and her husband Neil, Warner Robins; granddaughter, Amber Evans, Macon; grandson, Jesse Stewart and his wife Ashley, Locust Grove; and six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sebastian, Whitney, Kayla, Abriel and Braylee.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
