Georgie Frances Gautreaux passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at her home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening with visitation following until 8:00 pm in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gautreaux was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia and had lived in Warner Robins since 1969. Prior to 1969 she lived in numerous locations on the East coast while her husband served in the United States Navy. Mrs. Gautreaux graduated from secretarial school in Lakeland, Florida. She became a licensed nurse (LPN) in Georgia and during her career she practiced Geriatric Nursing. After retiring, she enjoyed playing Scrabble, reading, and visiting the elderly. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was the last surviving child of the union of Ashley and Sadie Owens, who both preceded her in death. Her two brothers, Donsielle and Douglas Owens, and two sisters, Doris Sawyer and Vivian Horton, and one grandchild, James Ashley Ridings, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Norman E. Gautreaux, Warner Robins; daughter, Denise Gautreaux Ridings (Jimmy), Centerville; sons, Douglas Ashley Gautreaux, Thomaston; and Jarome Emile Gautreaux, (Mitzi), Macon; grandchildren, Stacey, Amiee, Tiffany, William, John, Brandon, and Erin; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Cailyn and Gavin.
