Gerald Mixon Dees

Mr. Gerald Mixon "Mickey" Dees, Jr., 59, died suddenly Tuesday (April
21, 2015) at his residence in Waycross, GA.


He grew up in Waycross, GA, but he lived most of his life in Houston County. He received a degree in criminal justice from Georgia Southern University, and he was a 25 year veteran with the Houston County Shetifl's Department.


He is the son of the late Gerald Mixon "Buck" Dees, Sr. and Betty Gene Smith Dees.


Survivors include two daughters, Ashley Dees Spradlin (husband Josh) and Laura Grace Dees both of Warner Robins; former wife, Janet Bates Dees of Warner Robins; two brothers, Ketmetb Wayne Dees (wife Emily) of Midway, GA, and Rev. Steve J. Dees (wife Billie) of Orangeburg, SC; one sister, Brenda Rolison (husband Chris) of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday (April 26, 2015) at Shirley Hills Baptist Church, 615 Corder Rd, Warner Robins, GA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday at Shirley Hills Baptist Church.
