Geraldine M. Mckay

Geraldine M. McKay, 92, claimed the promise of the resurrection Sunday, May 14, 2023.

Mrs. McKay was born on January 1, 1931 to the late Herbert and Rosa Lee McKinney of Abbeville, GA. She was educated in the public schools of Wilcox County, GAB School of Commerce, and the University of Georgia Extension. Mrs. McKay retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as a Contracting Officer. Mrs. McKay was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins where she remained active until her death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix A. McKay; and brother, Malcolm McKinney.

Geraldine is survived by her brothers, Ed McKinney (Betty) of Warner Robins and Raymond McKinney (Mary Jean) of Hoover, AL; sister, Maxine McKinney (Dave Rash) of Waynesboro, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

We would like to express our gratitude to her faithful and devoted caregivers: Carrie, Carol, Kathy, Sarah, Trish and Phyllis.

We are also grateful to nurses and staff at Summers Landing and Southern Pines for their loving care.

The family will greet friends on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at McCullough Funeral Home. Geraldine will be laid to rest next to Felix with a graveside funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Pitts Cemetery, Hwy. 280, Pitts, GA 31072, with Pastor David Rash and Pastor Kirk Hagan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be given in memory of Geraldine to Christ United Methodist Church, 511 Russell Pkwy., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
