Geraldine M. Wall

Geraldine M. Wall of Marshallville, formerly of Warner Robins, died March 2, 2003 of cancer. She was 69. Services will be held on Thursday, March 6, at 2:00pm at Trinity United Methodist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099-1544, or to the Marshallville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 186, Marshallville, GA 31057.

''Gerry'' Wall was born in Wheeler County, Georgia on September 19, 1933, the daughter of the late H. Pierce and Eva Brown Monfort. She was raised in Telfair County, Georgia. Mrs. Wall was a 1953 graduate of the Macon Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse from 1953 to 1968. She served as the operating room supervisor at Houston Medical Center from its opening until her retirement in 1969. Mrs. Wall thereafter assisted her husband, Gene Wall, at Wall Tire Distributors, Inc. in Warner Robins, until their retirement in 1987. She and her husband had moved to their farm in Marshallville in 1978, where she spent her retirement years as she had spent all of the years of her life--in service to others.

Mrs. Wall was a member of the Marshallville United Methodist Church and a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. She was a lay delegate to the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Wall, and three sons, Glenn M. Wall and his wife, Vicci Y. Wall, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; William Stanley Wall and his wife, Charolette B. Wall, of Warner Robins; and Gerald Kevin Wall and his wife, Jeanette W. Wall, of Warner Robins; and four granddaughters: Jessica Wall, Rachel Wall, Amy Wall, and Hillary Wall.
