Gertraude Farmer, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2007.
Mrs. Farmer was born on June 5, 1926 in Tegernsee, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1958. A longtime resident of Missouri, she moved to Kathleen, Georgia in 1997. She was a proud member of the local German Club. Her husband, Charles K. Farmer, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Dieter Farmer, daughter-in-law, Deborah Farmer, both of Kathleen; two sisters, Hanni Dierl of Brüchkobel, Germany and Annemarie Nürnberger, of Erlangen, Germany; three grandchildren, George Farmer (Melissa), New Mexico; Tina McDuffie, Warner Robins; Lisa Evans, Kathleen; three great-grandchildren, Derek and Kayla Farmer, both of New Mexico, and Wesley McDuffie, Warner Robins.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Springfield, Missouri next to her husband.
