The Family and Friends of Gillian Carter invite all that knew her in great Celebration, of the Lord calling her home on February 7, 2022 in the early hours of the morning right before sunrise in the arms of her husband Chuck.
Gillian was a great example of Love and faithfulness to all that knew her, a devoted Christian who loved the Lord intimately with passion and great faith.
Gillian was born in London England on July 1st, 1943 and was retired with two careers one in dentistry and one in veterinarian care. She worked also with children with down syndrome through horse riding therapy in England. She worked hand in hand as a partner with her husband working devotedly with the Christian Alliance for the Homeless & Abused of Georgia since 1994. And was instrumental in helping to operate the food pantry at First Methodist Church in Warner Robins. She was a Christian Sculptor with her husband Chuck and produced over 200 scenes sculpted from Genesis to Revelation, scores of angels in clay. And a former member of the Daughters of the British Empire.
Together they produced the Children's Bible story chapel telling the story from Genesis to Revelation of the Bible and The Ultimate Return of Jesus Christ. They converted malls , churches , and schools. Bringing open testimony of the story of the bible and the gospel publicly.
Gillian was the daughter of Earnest and Gladys Bailey of London
Survived by her by her family- husband Chuck Carter of 28years in Warner Robins, Ga, 3 children Colby, Luke, Laylah and two older brothers Peter and Clifford Bailey in London England. Mother in law Barbara Carter, Sister and Brother in law Richard and Vicki* (Carter) Barnhill of Albany.
Everyone loved Gillian she was one of the sweetest souls you would ever meet. She is a great example for us from God of one of great constitution and perseverance to endure such a long time of suffering of 14 years. When God called her home, it was in the twinkle of the eye in the arms of her Husband Chuck of 28 years..
The Family thanks everyone for all your prayers and encouragement
Join us not only in our mourning for this great soul and individual but more so in the Great Celebration and Heavenly Reunion that we know in confidence through Jesus Christ that is happening.
There will be a Memorial for Gillian held in April to be announced.
50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
1 Corinthians 15
