Gisela Helen Bannister, 77, entered into rest on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Gisela was born on September 9, 1946, in Germany to the late Adam and Elli Nuhn. She loved her family and the time she spent making memories with them, and cherished her two dogs, Taco and Bo.
In addition to her parents, Gisela was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bannister.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Chad Bannister; devoted niece, Jeana Friday (Michael) of Chicago, Illinois; special niece, Felicia Passley (Kable) of Warner Robins, Georgia; mother-in-law, Emma Bannister; sisters-in-law, Laverne Friday (Gene) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Paulette Bannister of Warner Robins, Georgia, Agnes Killen of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Annette Thompson of Kansas City, Kansas; brother-in-law, Charles Bannister of Boston, Massachusetts; devoted friends and neighbors, Anne & Lee Callan and Alonza Matthews (Byron), Jutta Nelson, and Elvira Moyers, along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Gisela will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
