Gladys Edna Thorn

Gladys Thorn, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015.

Gladys was born on February 22, 1933 in Cadwell, Georgia. She retired from Robins Air force Base as a Management Analyst after thirty-five years of service. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for many years. Most recently, she enjoyed participating in Central Five-O and serving members who were unable to drive by shuttling them to various appointments.

Her parents, Robert and Mammie Burney; sister, Doris Burney and brother, Robert Hildon Burney preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Travis Thorn (Patty); Michael Thorn (Amy) and Marsha Denny (Chip) all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Cameron Thorn, Colby Thorn, Ty Thorn, Hunter Denny and Logan Denny; siblings, Laverne Fowler of Warner Robins; Charles Burney of Chester; Hilda Elias of Warner Robins; Joyce Childers of Dublin; Brenda Ryals of Byron and Linda Dillard of Crossville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Gladys Thorn will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
