Glennie Grier Ivey, Jr., 93, entered into rest on Friday, August 4, 2023.
Glennie was born on December 26, 1929, in Forsyth, Georgia to the late Glenn Grier Ivey, Sr. and Rosie May Ivey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his Naval Service, he began working at Robins Air Force Base in civil service. After retirement, Glennie owned his own successful air conditioning and refrigeration business and later he would drive cars for Lowe Toyota. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Ivey.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Laura Davis (Buddy) of Gray, and Diane Snow of Macon; stepchildren, Tony Huff (Debbie) of Bonaire, and Cindy Huff of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Brittany Kiser, Hannah Baggett, Mary Cosgrove, David Stahele, John Stahele, Sara Tittes, Rachel Harris, Phillip Ivey, Adam Ivey, Carolina Ivey, Ashley Huff, and Kyle Bronson; and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Immediately following a graveside funeral service will be held at 12:30 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
