Gloria "Ginger" Sara Hughes

May 14, 1931 — October 6, 2004

Gloria “Ginger” S. Hughes, 73, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Serenity Gate. Services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, October 9, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Hospice of Houston County.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Atlantic City, NJ. She was a member of Ekklesia of the World Church. Mrs. Hughes was a retired machinist from Boeing and a greeter and tour guide at the Museum of Aviation. Her parents, Winfield and Lillian Hoffman; her husband, Orie “Buddy” Hughes, Jr.; and great great-granddaughter, Remington Honeycutt preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and daughter- in-law, Kenneth and Betty Sue Groves of Kathleen; sister, Bess Cosgrove, Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; and a host of close family friends, especially Ruth Mullis and Nancy Clemons.
