Glover “StanTheMan” Stanhope Gayles, II, 41, entered into rest on Monday, April 15, 2024.
Stan was born on September 13, 1982, in Detroit, Michigan. A man of many talents, Stan could be found making, creating, and doing big things everywhere he went. He was master craftsman who made his own axes and swords from scratch, an artist who created masterful oil paintings and sculptures, a chef who traveled around the country to a variety of different kitchens, many of which he managed on his own, and an author who wrote beautifully. Stan was a self-contained gentle spirit who truly enjoyed life and all that he could do with it. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and attending festivals across the country. The joy he gained from life and in turn, brought to others, will be deeply missed by those he cherished.
His father, Glover Stanhope Gayles, Sr. preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Pamela Gayles of Warner Robins, GA; siblings, Faith Richardson (Andrew) of Bonaire, GA, Grace Morton of Georgetown, TX, Johnathan Gayles of Detroit, MI, Hope Gayles of Glasco, NY, and Charity Gayles of Glasco, NY, along with many other loving family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
