Glover Lamar Whitworth, 73, entered into rest on Thursday, December 4, 2014.
Glover was born on September 8, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Glover and Edna Whitworth. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Glover earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and loved to fish. Glover coached recreation league football and baseball for over twenty years.
His beloved wife, Jimmie Lou Whitworth; brothers, James Whitworth, Donald Whitworth and Johnny V. Whitworth, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his sons, Lane Whitworth (Jeannine), Macon and Derek Whitworth (Monica), Macon; grandchildren, Katie Sheheane (Shannon), Chloe Whitworth, Ivey Whitworth, Ramsie Whitworth and Cal Whitworth; brother, Clyde Whitworth (Dorothy); and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Hall at Ingleside Baptist Church. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in the Chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia, Inc., 1212 Gray Highway, Macon, GA, 31211.
