A loving son, father, brother and friend, Gregory David Wright, 49, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Houston Medical Center.
A Warner Robins native, Gregory was born on April 28, 1972. Growing up, he played recreation baseball with his dad coaching his teams. Gregory graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1990. Coinciding with his time at Kovac Paints, Gregory served as a firefighter for the Warner Robins Fire Department for 15 years and was a certified EMT. He loved all of his jobs and enjoyed helping anyone in need.
Gregory had a love for sports. In his spare time, he watched college football and was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan. On game days in the fall, Gregory enjoyed going to Athens to Sanford Stadium with his friends and also enjoyed traveling to away games. Gregory recently found a new sport he enjoyed playing, tennis with his father. He loved spending time with his family. Over the years, he took pleasure in getting to travel, especially on family trips. Gregory was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and in his early twenties he volunteered as a youth counselor. Most recently, he was attending Andrew United Methodist Church. Gregory was known for his kindness and will be tremendously missed by all.
