Veteran, jokester, and motorcycle enthusiast, Guy Kenneth Hulsey, rode into heaven on the evening of Saturday, September 3, 2022, after a year long battle with lung cancer. He fought it with all of his might until the very end.
Guy was born to Fred K. Hulsey and the late Donna L. Hall Hulsey in Groom, TX on October 12, 1962 and was of the Baptist faith. In 1980, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force and later retired with 21 years of Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. It was evident that Guy truly loved his wife, kids, grandkids, fellow military vets, friends, and just overall, living life. He loved to laugh and have a good time; you always knew to be on your toes around Guy because he would never let the opportunity to prank you pass him by! He also had a weakness for motorcycles. Guy enjoyed hitting the road on his Harley-Davidson Road Glide as often as possible and serving as a patched member and Road Captain with the GA State Chapter of the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club for several years. Additionally, he was an avid fan of Texas Longhorns Football (Hook’em, horns!) and of the L.A. Dodgers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna L. Hall Hulsey; and his brother, Larry R. Hulsey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Cherri Hulsey; children, Kevin Cannon (Cori), Heather Creamer (Michael) and Hillary Winn (Rick); grandchildren, Drake Raymond, Garrett and Colton Beard, Hayden Creamer, Hadley and Kellan Cannon, Emma Winn and Jason Allwine; father, Fred K. Hulsey; all of his brothers in the U.S. Military Vets MC; as well as, Josie, his fur baby nurse.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Guy will enjoy his last ride to Andersonville National Cemetery on Friday, September 16, 2022, where he will be laid to rest with a graveside memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Guy to Jay’s Hope Foundation, 1157-B Forsyth St., Macon, GA 31201.
