Gwinnett Harper Young

Gwinnett "Gwin" Harper Young passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Joe Senter and Dr. Steve Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery

Mrs. Young was born in Hahira, Georgia on October 23, 1929 to the late Thelma Giddens Harper and Mack Alderman Harper. She was a retired employee of Midland Glass Co.; co-owner of Young's Barbecue Drive Inn and Young's Bonding. She enjoyed worldly travels with family and friends and was an avid reader.

Mrs. Young is survived by her husband of 57 years Robert "Bob" Young of Warner Robins; children, son, Randolph Brazier Holton, III (Tammy), Griffin,; daughters, Belinda Dawn Young, Douglasville, and Robin Elaine Holcomb (Dr. Steve Holcomb), Kathleen; brother, Mack Harper, Jr., Gordon; sister, Martha Jane Richards, Camilla; grandchildren, Jennifer Elaine Swain, Robert Randolph Holton (Amanda), Casey Wayne Holton, Skyler Franklin Holcomb, and Rey Elliott Holcomb,; step-grandchildren, Stephan Holcomb, Jr., Heather Holcomb Martin (Brad), and Margaret Baker (Daniel),; great-grandchildren, Gracie Swain, Dillon Swain, Robert Randolph Holton, Jr., Slade Martin, Sawyer Martin, and Christina Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
