Hai Minh Tran, great father, brother, son, and friend, entered into eternal rest on the evening of Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was 61.
Hai (“The Ocean” in Vietnamese) was born in Vietnam on November 17, 1956, the Year of the Monkey, and was of the Baptist faith. A retired A/C and refrigeration technician for Rheem, he enjoyed partaking in hobbies including playing the lottery, listening to Vietnamese music, and taking pictures. Hai also loved eating. His favorite foods were egg rolls, mam ruot (shrimp paste), and of course bananas… monkeys love bananas! As a young boy, he trained in and taught Kung-Fu and still loved it as an adult. Hai had a friendly, loving, and easy-going personality. He also had a good sense of humor which made him many friends in his lifetime. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thu Bich Nguyen Tran.
He leaves his memory behind with his father, Doanh Tran; his siblings, Dich Tran, Huan Tran, Tiana Nga Tang, Kimberly Khue Ngo, Rick Tran, David Tran, Paul Tran, Cavin Tran, Diana Nguyen, and Bryan Tran; ex-wife, Nguyet Thi Tran; and daughters, Emily Nhu Hao Tran and Hayley Khanh Hoa Tran.
The family will receive friends for visitation at McCullough Funeral Home on Sunday, September 30, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Tran’s arrangements.
