Harold Dumas, 79, entered into rest surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 24, 2008.
Mr. Dumas was born on February 19, 1929, in Tifton. With pride and honor he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a retired computer comptroller from Robins Air Force Base, and was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. His parents, James and Effie Dumas; son, Tommy Dumas; daughter, Janet Stokes; grandsons, T.C. Dumas and DJ McInturff, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty-four years, Miriam E. Dumas; children, Jerry Dumas, Macon, Marilyn Noon, Byron, and Melonie McInturff (David), Warner Robins; brothers, Walter Dumas (Polly), Port Wentworth, and Edmond Dumas (Eleanor), Tifton; seven grandchildren, including Christy Michelle Dumas, who was raised by Miriam and Harold Dumas; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Robin Tedder officiating, with entombment following in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be given to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle GA 30025.
