A beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, cousin, and friend to all, Harper Mizelle Thomas, left this world on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the tender age of 9.
Born in Macon and raised in Lizella, Harper brought joy to the lives of her parents, Larry Thomas, Jr., and Melissa G. Styons. She spent her early school years at Skyview Elementary School in Lizella, from kindergarten through 3rd grade, before moving to Bonaire. Currently in the 4th grade at Bonaire Elementary School, Harper was an active member of the school's chorus.
Harper thrived in numerous activities as she embraced life with enthusiasm. As a proud member of the Girl Scouts, she embodied the values of friendship and community. Harper had a passion for dancing and enjoyed expressing herself on TikTok. Harper also showcased her talents as a gymnast at the Gym Nest School of Gymnastics in Macon and enjoyed taking horseback riding lessons in Lizella. Most of all, she loved and adored her twin brother, Greyson. She wanted to do anything Greyson did, and enjoyed attending Cub Scouts in Macon with him.
This year marked significant milestones for Harper. She learned how to swim and attended her first Girl Scout sleepaway camp. Harper's dreams were as vibrant as her personality. She aspired to be a cheerleader, participating in cheerleader and music camp at Mount de Sales Academy in Macon. She always cheered for her brother at his soccer games. Harper also found joy in singing in the shower, honing her culinary skills (thanks to her grandmother's guidance on making eggs), and expressing her honest opinions as a young food critic. Her fascination with slime and love for all things Lilo and Stitch brought joy and creativity into her days.
A true daddy's girl, Harper enjoyed the wind in her hair as she rode in her daddy's convertible. She also created precious memories at her new home in Bonaire with her neighborhood friends.
Playful, fun, compassionate, and thoughtful of others, Harper was a shining example of a life lived to the fullest.
Harper was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Dr. Robert Benton Styons and Larry Thomas, Sr.; and aunt, Sheila Thomas.
Left to cherish Harper’s memory are her parents, Larry Thomas, Jr. of Norcross, Georgia, and Melissa G. Styons of Bonaire; siblings, Greyson Liam Thomas of Bonaire, Destyni Thomas of Macon, and Kheringten Thomas of Byron; grandparents, Connie King Styons of Lizella and Mary Thomas of Macon; great-grandmother, Jennie Mae Bonner; and aunts and uncles, Kristen Erkkila (Corey), Akee Thomas (Erika), Robert Seth Styons (Hope); as well as numerous beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends.
