Hazel Mary Bell, formerly of Warner Robins, 87, entered into rest Monday, July 19, 2010.
Mrs. Bell was born on August 20, 1922 in Claxton, Georgia. She was of the Baptist faith. Hazel was a self-employed seamstress working from her home. A resident of Warner Robins since 1958, Hazel was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and sibling. During WWII, she was proud to be an American Icon as a Rosie the Riveter. Her parents, Lonnie and Gertie Mitchell, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, John O. Bell, II, Macon; sons and their spouses, John O. Bell, III, and Charlene, Byron; Larry Bell and Sue, Valdosta; grandsons, Shawn Bell (Cassie), John R. Bell (Kimberly), Jeff Bell (Angela), Kenny Bell; great grandchildren, Savannah Bell, Harleigh Bell, Anslea Bell; and sister, Shirley Lewis, Cypress Lake, Georgia.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place in Andersonville National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, GA 31201.
