Hazel Stewart

Warner Robins – Hazel Stewart, 82, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2004 at the Houston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with committal services following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

After 83 years of a joyous life, Hazel Stewart left her current home to spend eternity in a far better place. She will join many who wait for her arrival, including husband William, mother and father, Oscar and Bertha Pruett, step-mom Jewel; sister Bernice; brothers Harry and William. She will also join her little brother John and his wife JoAnn.

Mrs. Stewart was called Mama by Harry, Terry, and Donna Stewart (mate of Rick Stevens, Macon); "Granny" by Luke, Carrie, and Matthew Marshall; "Pruney" by her sisters Jane Gore Thomas, Era Self, and Dot Miller; "Aunt Pru" by Bill Gore, Debbie Albright, Steve Gore, Kathy Whitney, Danny Gore, Johnny and Jamey Pruett along with many other great nieces and nephews. Others she cared deeply about are Bobbie Keith Lauber, Andrew and Dianne Gibson, Dot Murray, Donna Mullican, Anita Davis, and Helen Sanner.

Mrs. Stewart worked in Civil Service for over 35 years, retiring in 1981 at Robins Air Force Base. She was a member of NARFE and AFGE.

Although she did not suffer from the disease, Mrs. Stewart cared deeply about the victims of Alzheimer's. Feel free to make donations to your local Alzheimer's organization in lieu of flowers.
