Hazel Waters Westfall, 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 1, 2010.
Mrs. Westfall was born on April 11, 1924 in Monticello and had lived in Warner Robins since 1952. She was Director of Material Management at Robins Air Force Base for thirty-four years before retiring. One of the founders of the Newcomer's Club, she was also past international president of the I.T.C., 1987 to 1988, and served in all officer's positions. She was a board member of the Houston County Meals on Wheels, a board member of the American Cancer Society, as well as a member of the V.I.P. Presbyterian Ladies Circle and the Red Hat Society "Sassy Redhats" chapter. First Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins was her church home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottus Earl Westfall; son, Larry R. Evans; parents, Bolden Clarence Waters, Sr., and Cora Bell Loyd Waters; and two brothers.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Sam L. Evans (Sonja), and Lynda Saunders (Tom); brother, Bill Waters, all of Warner Robins; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and beloved and faithful caregiver and friend, Marion Tharpe.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins, Reverend Paula Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Houston County Meals on Wheels, 119 Vicki Lynn Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
