Helen Bernice Kirby, 90, was reunited with her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Thomas Kirby, in Heaven on Friday, February 19, 2021.
Mrs. Kirby was born on February 4, 1931, in Harriman, Tennessee. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all of her heart. A charter member of Southside Baptist Church, Mrs. Kirby was devoted to her church and a part of the Amazing Grace Women’s Group. She enjoyed fellowship and sharing meals around her table and going outside to walk and reflect on nature. Most of all, Mrs. Kirby loved her family and was a faithful wife, wonderful mother, and a beloved “Granny” to all. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kirby’s legacy will live on through her daughters, Patricia Myhand of Augusta; and Pamela Faglier of Thomson; grandchildren, Philip Myhand, Johnny Faglier, Rebecca Myhand, Kim Faglier, and Crystal Haliford; great-grandchildren, Preston, Brantley, and Wynston Myhand, Conner, Riley, and Landon Haliford, Chloe Myers, Megan Krell; and great-great granddaughter, Layla Myers.
Visitation with Mrs. Kirby’s family will be Monday, February 22, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Campbell officiating.
