Helen L. Hale

Helen L. Hale, 84, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2005 at Portsbridge Hospice. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 2:00 p.m. in Marietta National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Portsbridge Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Mrs. Hale was born June 10, 1921 in Bishopville, South Carolina to the late Henry and Nicie Stokes. She was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army where she served as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Hale was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warner Robins. In addition to her parents, her son, Allie Dave Hale, preceded her in death.

Survivors include, husband, Lt. Col. Drew Pratt Hale (Ret.), Bonaire; children, Drew B. Hale; Bonaire; Walter Douglas Hale (D’Arcy), McDonough; Pratt Hale (Jeannie), Warner Robins; and Cappy Moor (Gary), Macon; siblings, Stanley Stokes; Geraldine Arrants; Barbara Capell, all of South Carolina; and Shelby Haines, Arizona; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
