Helen M. Willingham Tison, 80, passed away on February 27, 2006 at Summerhill Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2006, in Oak Hill City Cemetery, Quitman, Georgia. Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2006 from 6 until 8 PM at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tison was born in Valparasio, Florida on January 15, 1926. She was a Beta Sigma Phi, a Delta Zeta Chapter and a member of First United Methodist Church in Niceville, Florida since 1943. She was also a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress, American Legion Auxiliary, N.C.O Club, and the N.C.O. Wives Club. Her husband, James M. Tison; parents, Isaac and Amy Lula Willingham; brothers, Royce Willingham and Dick Willingham, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita M. Gradick (Leon), Thomaston; Linda J. Turk, (Richard), Warner Robins; Amy S, Hutson (Michael), Florida; Sandra K. Tison, Florida; son, James Michael Tison (Angela), Quitman; sisters, Hope W. Skievaski (Albert), Florida; Myrtice Long (Jerry), Colorado; brother-in-law, John L. Tison (LaVerne), Macon; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
