Helmi Sophia Johanson

Helmi Sophia Johanson, 92, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.

Mrs. Johanson was born on May 8, 1920 in Raahe, Finland to the late Franz and Ida Makela. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she volunteered in various activities. In addition to her parents, her beloved husband of sixty two years, William Clifford Johanson, Sr., also preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son and daughter in law, William "Billy" Clifford Johanson, Jr., and Yun, Suwanee, Georgia; granddaughters, Christine Johanson, Suwanee; Lisa Johanson, Astoria Long Island, New York; niece, Alice Osman, and nephew, Roy Osman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
