Henry Clay Thompson, Sr.

Henry Thompson, Sr., 87, entered into rest on Sunday, May 17, 2009.

Mr. Thompson was born on December 14, 1921 in Cheneyville, Louisiana. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Army retiring with the rank of Major. Retired Civil service he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and locally; the Retired Officers Association, Tyrian Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Free Masonary and the Al Sihah Shrine Temple. His parents, Charles and Nancy Thompson, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Annie Ruth Thompson; children, Henry Clay Thompson, Jr., Chattanooga, Tennessee, Nancy Thompson Nicotri, Cumming, Georgia and Jeff Ellis Thompson, Hawkinsville, Georgia; grandchildren, Jason Taylor Thompson, Augusta, Georgia and Brittany McKayla Thompson, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Michael Todd Slinker, Sugar Hill, Georgia and Ashley Nicole Thompson, Killeen, Texas and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, May 18, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
