Henry Hill Minshew, Sr.

Henry Minshew, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

Henry was born on May 8, 1926 in Macon, Georgia where he grew up and graduated high school. With great pride and honor, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. Following his military career, Henry was a computer operations supervisor for over 38 years at Robins Air Force Base before retiring. He was a member of Avondale Baptist Church for many years. Henry was a family man and always enjoyed time spent with his beloved family.

His parents, Maultie Moore and Lessie Tucker Minshew, and son, Henry Minshew, Jr., preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Dorothy Minshew; children, Kathy Tennant (Lester) of Ocala, Florida, Frank Minshew (Twila) of Milledgeville; grandsons, Whit Minshew, Dustin Minshew, and brother, Lawrence Minshew (Sue) of Macon.

Visitation will be Monday, June 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Avondale Baptist Church Cemetery where Henry will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Henry Minshew to Avondale Baptist Church, 6970 Cochran Field Road, Macon, Georgia 31216.
