Henry (H.J.) Joseph Bragg, Jr.

Henry J. "H.J." Bragg, Jr., 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.

Mr. Bragg was born on January 2, 1927 in Screven County, Georgia. After graduating from Fort Valley High School in 1944, he joined the United States Army, serving in the Philippines at the end of World War II. Henry retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base after thirty nine years of service. His last position was in the F-15 Division, Material Management. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his golfing buddies. His parents, Henry J. Bragg, Sr., and Bertha Jenkins Bragg; and siblings, Eunice Hill, Lloyd Bragg, Bill Bragg, James Bragg, and Roger Bragg, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty three years, Mary Alice Holloman Bragg; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Gary McDuffie, all of Warner Robins; Robin and Kirk Parnell, Benton, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Brett and Emily McDuffie, both of Warner Robins; Ryan and Becca Parnell, both of Benton, Louisiana; sisters, Nell Alligood, Columbus; Margie Gibson, Greenville, South Carolina; Jewel Dent, Hawkinsville; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be given to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
